About the Seminar

With COVID -19 sweeping across the world last year, the Government has taken swift action to construct Quarantine Camps within a short period of time. Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) technology has been adopted to meet the demands arising from the epidemic.

Representative of the Architectural Services Department HKSARG and Structural Consultants will take this opportunity to talk about their joint effort in the delivery of Quarantine Camp projects from project manager and structural designers’ aspect.

 

About the Speakers

Ir. Matthew YUET is a Senior Project Manager at ArchSD with extensive experience in project management, design and advisory of mega-size capital work projects. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the structural and the civil engineering discipline. Starting from 2018, he has been actively involved in MiC technology and closely collaborated with consultants and contractors to complete MiC projects including Married Quarters for FSD at Pak Shing Kok and quarantine facilities.

 

Ir. LEUNG Wai Man is the director of P&T Group. He started his structural engineering career in 1984 in Singapore and returned to Hong Kong in 2013. He is a Registered Structural Engineer in Hong Kong and a Professional Engineer in Singapore. He is the structural consultant for the quarantine camps at Penny’s Bay Phase 2

 

Ir. Henry WONG is the director of WSP Asia. He is the structural consultant for the Quarantine Camps at Pat Heung JPC and Penny’s Bay Phase 3A. He has over 25 years of experience in large scale public facilities, commercial, residential, educational campus development and high-rise construction in Hong Kong, China and Middle East region.

 

Ir. Alex LAI is the Operation Director of Meinhardt (C&S) Ltd. He is a practicing Registered Structural Engineer, Fellow member of HKIE and serving the Chairman in HKIE Building Division. Alex has over 23 years of building, civil and structural engineering design and construction experience in Hong Kong and PRC. He is currently engaged in structural consultancy for the design of MiC for ArchSD School projects, City University Hostel project and Polytechnics University Hostel project. He is the structural consultant for the Quarantine Camps at Penny’s Bay Phase 1A & 1B

 

Official Language

Cantonese will be the official language.

 

CPD Certificates

This seminar is recommended for 1.5 CPD hours. Attendance certificate will be issued.

 

Fee & Registration

Free attendance but limited and priority will be given to Young Members Group (HKISC) members and HKIE members.
