Synopsis:
After briefing introduction of Building Information Modeling (BIM), he will first explain BIM-based visualization methods for infrastructure development projects. He will also present how to support the development of logistics plans for prefabricated wall panels and an excavation schedule optimization method for tunnel construction projects. In addition, after introducing several multi-disciplinary design optimization (MDO) methods based on BIM, he will explain how to apply drone for construction progress monitoring and other usages.
About the Speaker:
Jung In Kim is an assistant professor at City University of Hong Kong. He received the BS and MS degrees from Seoul National University. After working for engineering companies, he also received the MS and Ph.D. degrees in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University. He also worked for the Center for Integrated Facility Engineering (CIFE) at Stanford University as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow.
